
# 2 C.W. POST PIONEERS BEAT MEN'S LACROSSE
Orangeburg, NY (4/30/11) The C.W. Post Pioneers men's lacrosse team defeated host Dominican College, 14-10, this afternoon in an East Coast Conference (ECC) game played on the DC Lacrosse Field. Today was senior day as the Chargers honored nine seniors in a ceremony prior to the game.

Orangeburg, NY (4/30/11) The C.W. Post Pioneers men's lacrosse team defeated host Dominican College, 14-10, this afternoon in an East Coast Conference (ECC) game played on the DC Lacrosse Field. Today was senior day as the Chargers honored nine seniors in a ceremony prior to the game.
With the loss Dominican falls to 2-12 overall and 1-8 in conference play.
Goalie Brendan Bonacum (Port Jefferson Station, NY) made a season high 20 saves in the game.
Korin Pierce (Middleburg, VA), Jesse Peterson (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada), Alex Jones (St. Albert, AB, Canda), Connor Lawlor (Neptune City, NJ) and Thomas Dertinger (Nanuet, NY) all netted two goals a-piece in the loss.
Dominican held a 3-2 advantage after the first period, but a 3-1 second period saw the Pioneers take a 5-4 edge at the intermission.
The Chargers scored three goals each in the third and fourth periods, but C.W. Post scored five goals in the third and added four more in the fourth for the 14-10 win.
Before the game Dominican honored Bonacum, Jones, Peterson, Christopher Jones (Saugerties, NY), Dave Marrese (St. Albert, AB, Canada), Tyler Douglas (St. Albert, AB, Canada), Daniel Servelli (Portchester, NY), Alex McKenna (Pine Bush, NY) and Andrew Rendine (River Edge, NJ) in a ceremony.
DC will wrap up the 2011 campaign next weekend when they travel to Mercyhurst College.
