
DOMINICAN'S PETERSON NAMED TO CAPITAL ONE ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA MEN'S AT-LARGE TEAM
Orangeburg, NY (6/7/11) Dominican College men's lacrosse player, Jesse Peterson, has been named to the 2011 Captail One Academic All-America Men's At-Large Third Team as was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced today.
Orangeburg, NY (6/7/11) Dominican College men's lacrosse player, Jesse Peterson, has been named to the 2011 Captail One Academic All-America Men's At-Large Third Team as was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced today.
Peterson, a senior midfielder from Sasktaoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, previously had earned his second straight appearance on the Capital One Academic All-District Men's At-Large Team this season as he was also named to the Second Team in 2010. This is his first All-America appearnce. As a biology major, he holds a 3.94 GPA.
Peterson also earned his second ECC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's lacrosse as he previously won the honor in 2009. He tallied 41 points on the season off 24 goals and 17 assists to be named to the ECC All‐Conference Honorable Mention squad. This season he led the team in assists and was second on the team in goals and points this season. He has been a two-year team captain and will leave the Chargers in second place in All-Time Assists and All-Time Points.
