
DOMINICAN DOWNS UDC FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN
Washington, D.C. (3/11/23) The Dominican University New York men’s lacrosse team won their second consecutive game this afternoon against the University of the District of Columbia.

The Chargers improve to 2-4 overall on the season after the win.
Gerardo Caltagirone (Tappan, N.Y.) started in goal for the Chargers and made 10 saves and recorded the win. Najee Wilson started in goal for UDC and made 22 saves but suffered the loss.
Dominican was led by Daniel Carson (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) and Sean Cosgrove (Warwick, N.Y.) who each finished with eight points. Cosgrove finished with a team-high three goals and added five assists while Carson recorded a team-high six assists and scored two goals.
Jason Allen (Middletown, N.J.) scored two goals and recorded two assists. Terence O'Loughlin (Nanuet, N.Y.) added three points including two goals and one assist.
Dylan Donaldson led the way for the Firebirds with four goals on 11 shots and recorded six ground balls. Julian Schemmscored three goals and added one assist. Carnell Lofton Jr. picked up a team-high 23 ground balls and won 29 of 31 faceoffs.
The Chargers started off strong with a 9-0 run to begin the game. UDC ended the run and scored four goals in the second quarter but the Chargers added four more goals before the half for a 13-4 lead.
Dominican scored eight second half goals while holding UDC to four second half goals on their way to the 21-8 victory.
Dominican returns to action on Wednesday, March 15th when they host St. Thomas Aquinas College at the Torne Valley Sports Complex at 4:00 PM.
