DOMINICAN T&F PARTICIPATE IN FASTRACK NATIONAL INVITE
Staten Island, N.Y. (2/9/24) The Dominican University New York men's and women's track and field team participated in the Fastrack National Invite today held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.
For the men, Nicalis Williams (Cohoes, N.Y.) had the high finish in the triple jump event, while the women's 4x400m relay team took 11th place.
MEN'S RESULTS
- Freshman Nicalis Williams (Cohoes, N.Y.) had the high finish of ninth place in the triple jump with a jump of 13.86m (45' 5.75").
- The 4x400m relay team of David Castro (Nyack, N.Y.), Jameel Richardson (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.), Connor Grable (Laurelton, N.Y.) and Sam Samala (Nanuet, N.Y.) took 10th place with a time of 3:49.16.
- In the distance medley relay, the team of Nate Thomas (Chicago, Ill.), Jehu Ermilus (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Jose Grullon (San Juan, Puerto Rico) and Prince Copeland (Haverstraw, N.Y.) finishged in 12th place with a time of 12:01.83.
- Jeffrey Li Rivera (Suffern, N.Y.) had the finish of 36th place with a time of 9.62 in the 60 hurdles and took 38th place in the long jump with a jump of 5.70m (18' 8.5").
- Lawrence Ribeiro (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.) took part in the shot put event and finished in 40th place with a throw of 10.21m (33' 6").
- The 60m dash saw Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) finish in 46th place with a time of 7.26 and Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) took 79th place with a time of 7.52.
- Thompson took 45th place in the 200m dash with a time of 22.91, while Thiea Shea (Kingston, Jamaica) took 48th place with a time of 22.98.
- Samuel Fileen (Monroe, N.Y.) ran in the 400m dash where he finished with a time of 53.28 to take 73rd place. Shea finished in 80th place with a time of 53.62 and Delon Smith (Bronx, N.Y.) had a time of 54.68 to finish in 98th place. Castro posted a time of 54.72 to finish in 99th place.
- Sophomore Aidan Nelson (Tappan, N.Y.) ran in the mile event where he ran a time of 5:02.45 to finish in 100th place.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
- The 4x400m relay team of Jayda Jones (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), Steffy Espejo (Tunja, Colombia), Anjalice Arias (Middletown, N.Y.) and Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.) had the high finish of 11th place with a time of 4:42.95.
- In the shot put event, Miranda Tucker (Nassau, Bahamas) took 19th place with a throw of 10.45m (34' 3.5") and Tori Benson (Buffalo, N.Y.) finished in 38th place with a throw of 9.17m (30' 1").
- Murphy ran in the 800 run where she took 88th place with a time of 2:40.03.
- Sophomore Jones ran in the 200m dash where she finished in 113th place with a time of 29.87.
- Espejo took 71st place in the mile run with a time of 6:03.68.
