MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD WIN MULTIPLE EVENTS AT VASSAR APRIL TWILIGHT

Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (4/27/24) The Dominican University New York men's track and field team traveled to the Vassar April Twilight Meet held yesterday on the campus of Vassar College.

Senior Kenney Lauredent (Pomona, N.Y.) won the triple jump event with a jump of 6.71m.

The 4x100m relay team of Aidan Mallon (Bohemia, N.Y.), Dariel Suarez (North Bergen, N.J.), Lauredent and Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) also took the top spot with a time of 44.48.

Sophomore Jeffrey Li Rivera (Suffern, N.Y.) won the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.85.

Jumper Nicalis Williams (Cohoes, N.Y.) won the high jump with a jump of 1.82m.

Aidan Nelson (Tappan, N.Y.) took second place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 11:01.75.

The 4x400m relay team of Thiea Shea (Kingston, Jamaica), Samuel Fileen (Monroe, N.Y.), Brian Thompson (North Bergen, N.J.) and Prince Copeland (Haverstraw, N.Y.) ran a time of 3:29.31 to take second place in the event.

Shea also took third place in the 200m dash with a time of 22.66.

The Chargers return to action next weekend when they travel to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Track and Field Championships to be hosted by Georgian Court University.
