MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD COMPETE AT SCARLET KNIGHT OPEN
New York, N.Y. (1/31/25) Members of the Dominican University New York men's track and field team competed at the Scarlet Knight Open, hosted by Rutgers University at the Armory Track & Field Center.
MEN'S RESULTS
- Freshman Maurice Douglas took the top spot in the 60m dash with a time of 7.20.
- Aaron Williams ran the 200m dash in a time of 22.43 to take 10th place, while Douglas took 56th place with a time of 24.44.
- Junior Jeffrey Li Rivera finished in 13th place in the triple jump with a jump of 12.30m (40' 4.25").
- In the 60m hurdles preliminary event, Li Rivera finished in 28th place with a time of 9.15.
- The 800m run saw Prince Copeland take 39th place with a time of 2:04.92 and Samuel Fileen finished in 42nd place with a time of 2:06.72.
- Fileen also competed in the mile run where he took 41st place with a time of 4:50.76, while Copeland took 42nd place with a time of 4:56.53.
- Freshman David Castro took 49th place in the 400m dash with a time of 55.26, with Sam Samala finishing in 42nd place with a time of 56.72.
