
MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD HAVE SIX TOP FIVE FINISHES AT PRATT INVITATIONAL
Flushing, N.Y. (4/5/25) The Dominican University New York men's track and field team had six top five finishes today at the Pratt Invitational hosted by Pratt Institute on the campus of Queens College.
Aaron Williams won the 400m dash, while Samuel Fileen won the 800m run. Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero took the top spot in the 100m hurdles and the 4x100m relay team won the event.
In the 200m dash Thiea Shea took second place, while Maurice Douglas finished in fourht place in the 100m dash.
Men's Results
- Freshman Aaron Williams won the 400m dash with a time of 53.31. Deshawn Douglas took third place with a time of 54.21, while Prince Copeland finished in fourth place with a time of 54.50. Sam Samala took fifth place with a time of 55.55 and Steven Hanna finished in 11th place with a time of 58.85. Jameel Richardson ran a time of 59.38 to take 13th place.
- In the 800m run Samuel Fileen won the event with a time of 2:04.13. D. Douglas took second place with a time of 2:05.25 and Copeland finished in third place with a time of 2:07.80.
- Jean Franco Del Valle Guerrero won the 110m hurdles with a time of 16.25. Jeffrey Li Rivera took fifth place with a time of 19.24.
- The 4x100m relay team of Aidan Mallon, Williams, Rivera and Maurice Douglas won the event with a time of 45.42
- Thiea Shea took second place in the 200m dash with a time of 23.14. Richardson took fourth place with a time of 24.47, while Samala finished in seventh place with a time of 25.41. Hanna took 10th place with a time of 25.77 and Guerrero ran a time of 25.92 to finish in 11th place.
- In the 100m dash, Douglas finished in fourth place with a time of 12.01.
- Aidan Nelson competed in the 1500m run where he took fifth place with a time of 4:42.56. Eslian Henriquez Flores took 12th place with a time of 5:28.01.
- In the 3000m run, Nelson finished in seventh place with a time of 10:01.65. Zachary Dertinger took 10th place with a time of 10:35.07 and Flores finished in 14th place with a time of 11:39.56.
