CHARGERS TURN BACK YESHIVA UNIVERSITY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/30/24) The Dominican University New York men's volleyball team turned away the Maccabees of Yeshiva University in three sets in non-conference action in the Hennessy Center.
The Chargers rolled to a 25-8 victory in the opening set to go up 1-0. The Chargers used a 10-0 run and a 10-5 run in the second set to extend their match lead to 2-0. The Chargers finished the third set on a 14-4 run to complete the sweep and improved to 2-2 overall on the season.
Gavin Tate (Appleton, Wis.) led the way with 14.5 points including a match high and career high 10 service aces. Sebastian Rodriguez (Marlboro, N.J.) finished with 10 points, six kills, and four service aces while Ayden Shaw (Centennial, Colo.) recorded four service aces and two kills for six points.
Jaiden Wilcox (Meridian, Idaho) finished with seven points and five kills while Jacob Davidson (Bloomington, Ind.) added six points. CJ Davis (Sicily, Italy) and Dennis Ancheta (Aurora, Colo.) each recorded four digs while Luke Koster (Geneva, Ill.) recorded a team-high 13 assists.
The Chargers return to action tomorrow night on the road against LIU at 7:00 PM.
