SOFTBALL MOVES UP IN EAST REGION RANKINGS

Orangeburg, NY (5/4/11) The Dominican College softball team has moved up one spot in this week's NCAA East Region Rankings as was announced by the NCAA today. Dominican has been ranked fifth in this week's poll after holding the sixth spot last week.

Orangeburg, NY (5/4/11)  The Dominican College softball team has moved up one spot in this week's NCAA East Region Rankings as was announced by the NCAA today.  Dominican has been ranked fifth in this week's poll after holding the sixth spot last week.

The Lady Chargers posted a 5-1 record last week after sweeping Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) double-headers from Concordia College and Goldey-Beacom College.  DC split a non-conference double-header with # 3 Molloy College to wrap up the regular season with a 30-16 overall record.

Dominican will compete in the CACC Tournament May 5- May 7 which will be held on the campus of Georgian Court University.  DC has been given the # 3 seed in the tournament and will face  # 6 seeded Eagles of Post University tomorrow at 12pm.
