
SPARTANS DEFEAT LADY CHARGERS
Sparkill, N.Y. (4/1/25) The Dominican University New York softball team fell in non-conference action to the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon.
After the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 8-19 overall. STAC improves to 15-14 overall after the 4-0 win.
Junior pitcher Emily Baxter got the start and pitched two innings while surrendering four runs, two earned, and recorded three strikeouts. Baxter suffered the loss as she falls to 7-5.
Sarah Clancy got the win for STAC as she improves to 8-7 on the year. Clancy allowed one hit over a complete seven shutout innings.
STAC opened the scoring in the first inning after an RBI-double by Eliana Raposo. STAC added three more runs in the second inning highlighted by an RBI-single by Olivia Leon.
Adriana Barnes recorded the only hit for the Lady Chargers going 1-2 while also working a walk.
The Lady Chargers return to conference play tomorrow when they visit Caldwell University.
