HOWARD TABBED CACC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK ACCOLADES

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ANE VALLE, Felician – Sophomore forward posted 33 points, five rebounds, six assists and four steals during the Golden Falcons' Dec. 3 home league victory over Caldwell. Followed with 28 points and 16 rebounds during a loss to regionally-ranked Dominican. Shot 53 percent from the floor for the week while scoring more than half her team's points (61 of 114).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

GABBY RECINTO, Jefferson – Totaled 18 points and 19 rebounds during the Rams' Dec. 3 victory over Goldey-Beacom. Averaged 15.0 points and 12.0 rebounds and shot 57 percent from the floor during a 1-1 week.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CAYLA HOWARD, Dominican – Junior averaged 12.5 rebounds (9.5 defensive), 2.0 blocks and 1.5 steals (plus 21.0 points) as the Chargers held a pair of conference opponents to 51.5 points per game during a 2-0 week.

 

HONOR ROLL

KAMRIN BABBS, Bloomfield – Averaged 13.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals despite an 0-2 week for the Bears.
LUCY COOGAN, Caldwell – Averaged 12.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists during the Cougars' 1-1 week.
TAYLOR HINKLE, Holy Family – Was 8 for 13 from the floor and scored 18 points with 16 rebounds during the Tigers' victory over No. 13 Jefferson on Saturday.
JULIE KULESZA, Goldey-Beacom – Scored 18.5 points with 5.5 rebounds per game as the Lightning posted a 1-1 week.
SKYLER SEARFOSS, Holy Family – Amassed 14 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals as HFU topped No. 13 Jefferson on Saturday.
MARIA STANESCU, Georgian Court – Canned 12 three-point field goals during a 1-2 week for the Lions. Averaged 14.7 points and 3.0 rebounds.
