
LADY CHARGERS EXTEND WINNING STREAK TO FIVE GAMES AFTER WIN OVER WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/18/25) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team downed the Wildcats of Wilmington University this afternoon in conference action on Coach Baxter Court.
The Lady Chargers, #5 in the latest D2CSC East Region Poll, extend their current win streak to five straight games to improve to 14-4 and 6-0 in conference play.
Dominican opened the game with a 25-5 first quarter and did not look back from there as they rolled to an 81-53 victory. Dominican shot 44.8% from the field and 46.4% from beyond the arc. Dominican went 16-21 from the charity stripe and added 26 bench points and 20 points in the paint.
The Lady Chargers were led by Tamia Nunes and Angelina DiMarsico who each finished with 17 points. DiMarsico went 5-7 from beyond the arc and added six boards. Nunes scored a career high while also recording a team-high 10 boards for a double-double.
Tanasha Mills finished with 13 points and dished out four assists and added four steals which was a team-high.
Cloey Dopp provided 13 points off the bench while Isabella Javier dished out a team-high five assists while scoring six points.
The Wildcats were led by Aniyah Bond who scored a game high 18 points. TyKeisha Hill scored 13 points while Jasmine McDuffie pulled down a team-high 11 boards.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Wednesday night when they visit the University of Bridgeport.
