
LADY CHARGERS BASKETBALL INCLUDED IN FIRST NCAA REGIONAL RANKINGS
NCAA Women's Basketball Regional Rankings (games through 2/16)
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/20/25) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team is one of ten teams in the East Region listed as under consideration for NCAA bids in the first NCAA Division II women's basketball rankings, as released by the regional advisory committee with games played through Feb. 16.
Listing the teams in alphabetical order for the first regional rankings, the 10 teams in the East Region are Adelphi, Assumption, Bentley, Daemen, Dominican (N.Y.), Holy Family, Saint Anselm, Southern Connecticut State and Staten Island.
The Lady Chargers own wins over two teams under consideration with victories over Adelphi and the College of Staten Island and has faced three other teams under consideration.
Dominican is averaging 67.1 points per game this season with three players averaging over 10 points per game and three players averaging over five rebounds per game.
The team reached the 20-win plateau for the second time in three years.
