DOMINICAN DOWNS FELICIAN ON SENIOR DAY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/1/25) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team closed out the 24-25 regular season with a win over Felician University this afternoon.
The Lady Chargers complete the regular season with a 21-7 overall record and a 13-3 CACC record. Dominican not only secured the #1 seed in the north division but the #1 overall seed for the upcoming CACC Women's Basketball Tournament.
Prior to today's game, senior Angelina DiMarsico was honored during the Senior Day festivities.
DiMarsico, the conference leader in three-point shooting, added to her season total after connecting for a team-high six three-pointers. DiMarsico finished with 22 points which matched a season high. DiMarsico also recorded six boards, five assists, and two steals.
Tanasha Mills also scored 22 points going 5-7 from the field including four three-pointers and a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe. Mills recorded team-highs in assists with seven and steals with five. Cayla Howard and Tamia Nunes each scored 15 points.
Dominican opened the game with a 29 point effort in the first quarter and held Felician to seven points in the second quarter with scoring 21 and held a 52-22 lead at halftime.
The Lady Chargers extended to their largest lead of the game in the fourth quarter which was 41 points and finished with 90 points which is a season high.
Dominican shot 50.8% from the field and hot 16 total three-pointers finishing with a three-point percentage of 48.5% from beyond the arc.
Next up is the CACC Quarterfinals on Tuesday night as the Lady Chargers host Goldey-Beacom College on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center at 5:30 PM.
