
LADY CHARGERS WIN CACC NORTH DIVISION AND ARE OVERALL TOP SEED FOR CACC CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT

New Haven, Conn. (3/3/25) Following today's conclusion of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference women's basketball regular season, Commissioner Dan Mara has announced the field and schedule for the 2025 CACC Women's Basketball Championship tournament. The event begins with the quarterfinals on March 4 before Thomas Jefferson University hosts the semifinals and finals on Saturday and Sunday, March 8 and 9.
Tuesday's games will be held at the sites of the higher seeds. Dominican University New York (21-7, 13-3 CACC) has won the CACC North Division regular-season championship and is the overall No. 1 seed for the tournament. The Lady Chargers will host South Division No. 4 seed Goldey-Beacom College (10-18, 7-9), which won today to nab the event's final spot, at 5:30 p.m. in Orangeburg, N.Y. Jefferson (22-6, 14-2), meanwhile, defeated Holy Family University this afternoon to capture the South Division crown and No. 1 seed. The defending champion Rams will be home for South No. 4 Felician University (11-17, 6-10) at 5:30 p.m. in Philadelphia.
The other two first-round matchups, both of which will tip off at 6 p.m., will see South No. 3 Chestnut Hill College (15-12, 11-4) travel to Caldwell, N.J., to face North No. 2 Caldwell University (16-12, 10-6), and North No. 3 Post University (10-18, 9-7) play at South No. 2 Holy Family (21-6, 13-3) in northeast Philadelphia.
The semifinals are set for Saturday at Jefferson's Gallagher Athletic, Recreation and Convocation Center at noon and 2 p.m. Jefferson will also host the championship game on Sunday at noon. The winner of the 2025 CACC Women's Basketball Championship will earn the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division II East Region Championship tournament.
Tickets for all rounds of the 2025 CACC Women's Basketball Championship are $10 for adults, and $5 for children, senior citizens (65+) and students with valid identification.
