
WOMEN'S BOWLING COMPETES IN THE GRIFFIN BAKER CLASSIC
Limerick, Pa. (2/4/24) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team traveled to Bowlero Limerick in Limerick, Pa. for the Griffin Baker Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill College this weekend.
The Lady Chargers opened day one in the total pinfall match play. Dominican went 0-5 in match play against Long Island University, Saint Thomas Aquinas College, Holy Family University, Wagner College, and Caldwell University. The Lady Chargers posted team scores of 729-749-666-679-713.
Dominican returned to action for day two and took on Molloy University and Delaware State University in the final two team matches.
Dominican fell to Molloy 875-721 and Delaware State University 953-622. Next up for the Lady Chargers was the best four of seven tournament play.
Dominican matched up against the host school Chestnut Hill in the opening round where they fell 4-0. Dominican then met the Tigers of Holy Family University in the second round where they were edged 4-3 in seven games.
Dominican won games one, two, and four against HFU but the Tigers won games three, five, six, and seven to secure the win.
Dominican returns to action next Friday and Saturday for the 6th Annual Mount Shootout hosted by Mount Saint Mary's University.
