TATI THIRD OVERALL AFTER DAY ONE OF GOLDEN BEAR INVITE
Sinking Spring, Pa. (10/19/24) Red-shirt freshman Angelina Tati averaged 199.6, including a high game of 235 in her fourth game, as Dominican University New York bowling opened up play today at the Golden Bear Invite, hosted by Kutztown University at Berks Lanes.
The Lady Chargers went 2-3 today in the traditional play format of the tournament. Dominican defeated Belmont Abbey, 838-810, and Felician University, 908-869, for the day's two victories.
Tati finished third overall among the 78 competitors with a total pin-fall of 998 (199.6 average) in five games played today.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Bowler and Rookie of the Week, Kyra Walter, finished 12th in the standings with a 182.4 average (912 total pin-fall). Stephanie O'Malley averaged 167.4 over five games, while Natalie Christopher averaged 151 in four games played. Caroline Dillon played in four games and had an average of 146.75, while Briana Sinnott averaged 162 over two games played.
The event switches to Baker format on Sunday for four more matches, followed by a best-of-seven place match.
