LADY CHARGERS FINISH 10TH AT GOLDEN BEAR INVITE

Sinking Spring, Pa. (10/20/24)  The Dominican University New York women's bowling team finished 10th today at the Golden Bear Invite, hosted by Kutztown University, at Berks Lanes.

In action today, the Lady Chargers went 0-5 in four Baker matches and one Baker Match Play to finish the tournament with a 2-8 record and 10th place finish.

The Lady Chargers headed into the championship bracket as the ninth seed and had to face Wagner College where the Seahawks came away with the 4-2 win.  Wagner won the first (176-146), but DUNY came back with a 164-159 win to make the score 1-1.  WC went on to win the next two (177-156, 158-133), but Dominican rebounded to take the fifth, 154-139.  The Seahawks secured the 4-2 win with a slim 158-154 fifth game win.

Dominican now stands at 9-11 overall on the season.

The Lady Chargers are back in action on November 9-10th when they take part in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Meet #1 to be hosted by Caldwell University at Rockaway Lanes in Rockaway, N.J.
