DOMINICAN TAKES 7TH IN CSU LADY EAGLES INVITATIONAL
Gwynn Oak, Md. (11/17/24) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team finished in seventh place in the team standings for the weekend in the CSU Lady Eagles Invitational.
Dominican took on Delaware State University and Mount Saint Mary's to open the traditional matches where they fell in both. Dominican earned three straight wins over Fayetteville State University, Virginia Union University, and Virginia State University to finish day one with a 3-2 record and in 11th place.
On day one, Dominican had a total pin fall of 4,355 in the traditional matches.
Angelina Tati was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers finishing in 10th place in the individual standings. Tati posted scores of 190-159-221-246-172 for a total of 988 and a sum average of 197.60.
Kyra Walter finished in 30th place with a high game of 215 and an average of 184.40. Natalie Christopher finished in 40th place with a high game of 234 and an average of 179. Stephanie O'Malley finished in 52nd place while Briana Sinnott finished in 62nd.
Dominican continued the weekend on Sunday in the Baker matches. Dominican split their first two matches with Norfolk State University and Howard University before moving on to the championship bracket.
Dominican fell in seven games to Belmont Abbey College 4-3 but bounced back to defeat Saint Anselm College 4-1 in five games and earned seventh place in the final standings.
Dominican completed the weekend with an overall record of 19-20 on the season.
The Lady Chargers return to action next weekend when they travel to Howell Lanes in Howell, N.J. for the Garden State Classic hosted by Monmouth University which will close out their fall 2024 schedule.
