
LADY CHARGERS COMPETE AT NORTHEAST CLASSIC
New Castle, Del. (1/18/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team returned to action for the first time in the calendar year of 2025 as they continued the 24-25 schedule at the Northeast Classic hosted by Sacred Heart University at Bowlerama in New Castle, Del.
The tournament opened with baker matches on Friday where the Lady Chargers took on McKendree University, Wagner College, Jacksonville State University, Merrimack College, and Niagara University.
Dominican posted scores of 907-813-854-914-927 in the baker matches and went 1-4 on day one. DU's win came in the fourth match where they took down Merrimack College 914-884.
Dominican began day two on Saturday in 33rd place out of 38 schools. Dominican returned to action for the traditional matches on day two.
The Lady Chargers took on William Smith College, University of Nebraska, Mount Saint Mary's University, Wright State University, and Stephen F. Austin State University in the traditional matches.
Dominican fell in all five matches to bring their overall record to 23-39 on the season.
Kyra Walter was the high finisher for the Lady Chargers placing 79th out of 270 total bowlers. Walter posted scores 160-190-219-169-212 for a sum average of 190.0 and a total pinfall of 950.
Angelina Tati finished in 88th place with a sum average of 187.40 and a total pinfall of 937. Tati rolled a team-high 244 in game one.
Natalie Christopher took 95th with a sum average of 185.80 and total pinfall of 929. Christopher finished with her highest score of the day which was a 217.
The Lady Chargers will return to action on February 1st and 2nd when they travel to Limerick Lanes in Limerick, Pa. for the Griffin Baker Classic hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
