
LADY CHARGERS COMPETE AT GRIFFIN BAKER CLASSIC
Limerick, Pa. (2/3/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team returned to action for the Griffin Baker Classic from Limerick Lanes in Limerick, Pa. hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
The Lady Chargers opened the weekend going 3-2 in baker matches earning wins over Merrimack College, Norfolk State University, and Adelphi University. Dominican finished day one in 10th place out of 16 teams.
Dominican posted scores of 891-856-871-851-818 with their highest score coming in a victory in their opening match over Merrimack College. DU finished day one with a total pinfall of 4,287.
On day two, the Lady Chargers split their first wo matches after they fell to Fairleigh Dickinson University but bounced back with a win over eventual tournament winner Monmouth University by an edge of 997-993.
Dominican faced Norfolk State University and posted a season high score of 1,242. Dominican then defeated Adelphi University 918-794 to complete the weekend and moved up one spot in the final standings taking ninth place.
The Lady Chargers finished the tournrament winning three straight matches and went 6-3 total on the weekend bringning their overall season record to 29-42.
The Lady Chargers return to action next weekend for the 7th Annual Mount Shootout hosted by Mount Saint Mary's University taking place from Friday, February 7th-Sunday, February 9th.
