
DOMINICAN COMPETES AT WILDCAT DII INVITATIONAL
New Castle, Del. (2/16/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team traveled to the Wildcat DII Invitational this weekend.
The Lady Chargers competed in the three day tournament and went a total of 9-4 in the tournament bringing their overall record to 41-55 on the season.
Dominican opened the weekend going a perfect 5-0 in the baker matches.
The Lady Chargers defeated Saint Vincent College, Caldwell University, D'Youville University, St. Thomas Aquinas College, and Molloy University.
Dominican posted scores in the baker matches of 984-951-886-858-938. Dominican finished day one in sixth place out of 13 teams.
On day two in the traditional matches, Dominican earned wins over Alvernia University and Adelphi University posting scores of 907 and 912. Dominican fell in their other three matches finishing the day 2-3 and fell into seventh place.
Reigning CACC Bowler and Rookie of the Week Kyra Walter was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers posting a sum average of 194.80 for 19th place. Walter finished with a total pinfall of 974 with three 200 games with her high game of 214 coming in the third game.
Freshman Angelina Tati finished in 23rd place with a total pinfall of 953 and sum average of 190.60. Tati's high game was a 224 which came in game three.
Stephanie O'Malley had a 917 pinfall and 183.40 average for 27th place while Caroline Dillon posted a 174.40 sum average and total pinfall of 872 for a 34th place finish.
Dominican faced Molloy University to open day three in the first round of the championship bracket. Dominican earned a 4-2 win over the Lions and then faced Caldwell University in round two where they fell 4-2.
Dominican finished the final day with a 5-2 win over D'Youville University in the final round of the championship bracket and finished the tournament in seventh place.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Saturday, March 1st when they travel to Lodi Lanes in Lodi, N.J. for the second CACC Meet of the season.
