LADY CHARGERS COMPETE AT NORTHEAST ROUND UP
New Castle, Del. (3/16/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team finished up at the Northeast Roundup from Bowlerama in New Castle, Del. hosted by Wilmington University.
This was the final competition for the Lady Chargers before next weekend's CACC Championships.
The two day weekend tournament saw teams compete in the traditional matches on Saturday and then baker matches on Sunday.
The Lady Chargers finished 1-3 on day one after falling to Caldwell University, Felician University, and Niagara University. Dominican's only victory on the day came against St. Thomas Aquinas College in their second match by a score of 921-710.
Dominican finished 8th out of 11 teams after day one. Stephanie O'Malley was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers. O'Malley placed 17th out of 70 bowlers in the individual standings after earning a total pinfall of 925 and an average of 185.00. O'Malley also rolled a team-high 214 in game one.
Kyra Walter took 22nd in the individual standings with a total pinfall of 880 and an average of 176.00. Walter posted a personal high game of 206 in game two. Caroline Dillon finished right behind Walter in 23rd place after posting an 873 total pinfall and 174.60 average.
Angelina Tati placed 26th place while Natalie Christopher placed 28th.
The Lady Chargers dropped their first two baker matches on day two but bounced back to defeat LIU 976-784. Dominican fell in their final match up before the championship bracket.
The Lady Chargers faced Wilmington University in the championship bracket. Dominican defeated the Wildcats by a score of 4.5-.5.
Dominican finished the weekend with a record of 3-6 which pushes their overall record to 48-65 on the season.
Dominican returns to action next weekend for the 2025 CACC Women's Bowling Championships.
