
LADY CHARGERS FALL TO COUGARS IN THE ELIMINATION MATCH ON DAY TWO OF THE 2025 CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Southampton, Pa. (3/23/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team fell in their elimination match to the Cougars of Caldwell University on day two of the program's first ever appearance in the CACC Championships.
The Lady Chargers and the Cougars faced off this morning from Pike Lanes in Southampton, Pa. in the supermatch format to earn the right to take on #1 seed Felician University in the finals.
The supermatch opened with a traditional match. The Cougars took the first round for a 1-0 advantage as they rolled with a 954-828 victory in the traditional format.
Dominican bounced back strong in the second round total pinfall baker match. The Lady Chargers got off to a fast start as they got out to a 30 pin lead in the first game and extended to a 90 pin lead later in the baker round as they forced the baker best of seven tiebreaker.
The Cougars took game one 213-189 but then Dominican answered with team scores of 180 and 217 to take a 2-1 series lead.
The Cougars answered and closed out the Lady Chargers with three straight victories as they took the best of seven round 4-2 and the elimination match 2-1.
Angelina Tati rolled a team-high 189 in the traditional match while Kyra Walter finished with a 169 and Stephanie O'Malley posted a 166. Caroline Dillon recorded a 165 and Natalie Christopher finished the traditional match with a 139.
