
THREE WOMEN'S LACROSSE PLAYERS EARN ALL-CACC HONORS
Orangeburg, NY (4/27/11) Three members of the Dominican College women's lacrosse team have earned All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) accolades as was announced by the conference office today. Two other players received Honorable Mention honors.

Freshman goalie Amanda Caprio (Point Pleasant, NJ), senior midfielder Silje Karlsen (Vernon, NJ) and sophomore midfielder Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) were all named to the All-CACC Second Team.
Senior attacker Sarah Kiernan (Saugerties, NY) and junior midfielder Aubree Williams (Great Meadows, NJ) received Honorable Mention honors.
Caprio is currently second in the CACC in saves percentage (.443) and goals against average (12.5), while ranking third in saves per game (10.08). She has started all 14 games in the net for the Lady Chargers and made a career high 18 saves in a 12-6 victory against Wilmington University on March 28th.
Karlsen leds Dominican this season in scoring (31 goals) and points (38). She ranks 10th in the CACC in goals per game (2.23) and 6th in shots per game (5.85). She also is ranked third in man-up goals per game (0.31). She recorded her 100th career goal on March 28th in a 12-6 victory over Wilmington University. To date she has amassed 119 career goals. This is Karlsen's third consecutive appearance on the All-CACC Second Team.
Fiorvanti leads the team this season in assists (9), while ranking 9th in the conference in assists per game (0.82).
Kiernan, who is coming off of knee surgery, is fifth on the team in scoring (20) and was an All-CACC Second Team selection in 2010. She is also a three year captain of the Lady Chargers.
Williams is currently fifth in the CACC in man-up goals per game (0.23). She earned All-CACC Second Team honors in 2009 and was the CACC Rookie of the Year and named to the All-CACC First Team in 2008. She also recorded her 100th career goal this season against St. Thomas Aquinas College.
