
DOMINICAN DOWNS DAVIS AND ELKINS COLLEGE FOR FOURTH STRAIGHT WIN
Hillburn, N.Y. (3/5/23) The Dominican University New York women’s lacrosse team earned their fourth straight victory in a non-conference game against Davis and Elkins College played at the Torne Valley Sports Complex.

The Lady Chargers improved to 4-1 after the 18-2 victory.
Kristinamarie Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y.) recorded the win in goal for Dominican and made two saves. Kathryn Ehrlinger (Levittown, N.Y.) and Katharina Cohen (Sparta, N.J.) also saw game action in goal for the Lady Chargers. Ehrlinger also recorded two saves in the win.
Erica Ortiz (Slate Hill, N.Y.) scored a team-high five goals with four goals coming in the first quarter. Ortiz also recorded one assist. Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) scored two goals and recorded a team-high eight assists.
Madelyn Grella (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) scored two goals and recorded three assists while Sydney Strohmayer (Rocky Point, N.Y.) added three goals. Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Ellie Brouwer (West Long Branch, N.J.) each added two goals.
Anna Kaminskey (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) scored one goal and recorded one assist while Jordana Tomasetti (Middletown, N.J.) scored one goal.
The Lady Chargers got off to a fast start in the first quarter with 10 goals. Dominican took the 1-0 lead early and the Senators answered one minute later after a goal by Morgan Rogers.
Dominican scored nine unanswered to end the first quarter and continued with three more goals in the second quarter for the 13-1 lead at halftime.
Dominican added three goals in the third quarter and two goals in the fourth quarter. The second Senators goal was scored by Hannah Lennon with seven minutes remaining and the score would stay the same the rest of the way as Dominican secured the win.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Tuesday when they host St. Thomas Aquinas College at 4:00 PM at the Torne Valley Sports Complex in Hillburn N.Y.
