
LADY CHARGERS EXTEND WINNING STREAK TO FIVE STRAIGHT GAMES

The Lady Chargers extended their current winning streak to five games and improve to 5-1 overall on the season.
Kristinamarie Kaszovitz (Hicksville, N.Y.) started in goal for the Lady Chargers and made five saves and recorded the win. Kathryn Ehrlinger (Levittown, N.Y.), Katharina Cohen (Sparta, N.J.), and Rebecca Nutting (Marcellus, N.Y.) all saw game action for the Lady Chargers in goal.
Colleen Stevens started in goal for STAC and made 11 saves but suffered the loss.
Caitlin Costello (Seaford, N.Y.) and Madelyn Grella (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) each led the team with four goals scored. Costello finished with a team-high 11 points while Grella recorded six assists and finished with 10 points.
Grace DeStasio (West Hempstead, N.Y.) and Jordana Tomasetti (Middletown, N.J.) each scored three goals. Sydney Strohmayer (Rocky Point, N.Y.) finished with two goals. Anna Kaminskey (Mount Sinai, N.Y.), Erica Ortiz (Slate Hill, N.Y.), Ellie Brouwer (West Long Branch, N.J.), and Lea Henke (Rocky Point, N.Y.) all added one goal.
The Lady Chargers got off to a strong start with 10 first quarter goals. Dominican extended their lead in the second quarter and held a 14-0 lead by halftime.
Hailey Galison scored the first Spartan goal and McKenzie Schlechtweg picked up the assist. Dominican added three goals in the third quarter and began the fourth quarter with a 17-1 lead.
Katelyn Cerrato scored the second STAC goal and Schlechtweg scored the third STAC goal later in the quarter. Dominican added three more goals in the final quarter and secured the 20-3 victory.
The Lady Chargers will return to action on Saturday, March 18th when they open conference play against Wilmington University at the Torne Valley Sports Complex at 2:00 PM.
