
LADY CHARGERS EXTEND WINNING STREAK TO FOUR GAMES WITH WIN OVER TIGERS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/22/25) The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team extended their winning streak to four games as they downed CACC opponent Holy Family University on O'Brien Field.
The Lady Chargers improve to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play while the Tigers fall to 1-6 overall and 1-2 in the CACC.
GK Kristinamarie Kaszovitz recorded the win in goal for the Lady Chargers as Kathryn Ehrlinger, Emma Crater, and Dynastee Ramos all saw action in net.
Dominican rolled from the start of the game as they put up 10 goals in the first quarter followed by three goals in the second and took a 13-2 lead into halftime. The Lady Chargers added six more goals in the second half on their way to the 19-3 victory.
DU's all-time leading scorer Grace DeStasio scored a team-high six goals and added one assist. DeStasio finished the game with seven total points including her 300th career point. DeStasio also picked up three ground balls and led the team in draw controls with seven.
Erica Ortiz finished with five goals and four draw controls. Madelyn Grella finished the game with a team-high 10 points on three goals and seven assists, also a team-high.
Caitlin Costello added two goals, three assists, three ground balls, and two draw controls. Madison Miletti scored one goal and recorded two assists while Jordana Tomasetti scored one goal and added one assist. Josie Lettieri also scored one goal.
Sydney Strohmayer had three caused turnovers and three ground balls including her 100th career ground ball. Alivia Chieca also added three caused turnovers.
The Lady Chargers are back in action tomorrow for a non-conference contest against Virginia State University on O'Brien Field at 1:00 PM.
