
BALANCED ATTACK LEADS LADY CHARGERS TO VICTORY OVER TROJANS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/23/25) Ten different Lady Chargers scored goals to lead the Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team to a 19-2 victory over the visiting Trojans of Virginia State University in non-conference action played today on O'Brien Field.
With the win Dominican improves to 6-1 overall on the season and extend their winning streak to five games.
Junior Madelyn Grella dished out a game best five assists to go along wih three goals. Grace DeStasio also recorded three goals to go along with a game best nine draw controls and four ground balls, while Erica Ortiz contributed three scores and two assists. Ellie Brouwer found the back of the net three times to round out the multi-goal scorers.
Caitlin Costello had one goal and three assists, while Jordana Tomasetti had one goal, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Sydney Strohmayer, Josie Lettieri and Payton LaVallee all recorded a goal. Junior Rylie McGhan and freshman Madison Mileti had the other Lady Charger goals.
Four different players saw time in the Lady Charger net with starter Kristinamarie Kaszovitz playing almost minutes and making one save. Emma Crater spent a little over 12 minutes in the net, while Kathryn Ehrlinger played the third quarter. Freshman Dynastee Ramos was in the net for the fourth quarter where she made two saves.
Dominican returns to action on Wednesday afternoon when they host Wilmington University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game on O'Brien Field.
