Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/21/24) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team suffered a conference loss to the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University this afternoon on O'Brien Field.
The Rams enter today's game ranked #7 in the NCAA DII United Soccer Coaches Association East Region Poll and improve to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the CACC with the win. The Lady Chargers fall to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
Liv Riddell made two saves and recorded her fifth win of the season in goal for the Rams while DU keeper Nelly Arvidsson made six saves but suffered her second loss of the season.
The Rams took a 3-0 lead into halftime after two goals Nikki Dedes and Mia Ferrara. Kyra Lesko picked up an assist on the second goal.
The Rams added their fourth goal in the 75th minute by Izzy Alexandre and the score would remain for the rest of the game.
The Rams held the edge in shots and corner kicks. Kaitlyn Zeeb and Isabella Wysocki each took three shots for Dominican. Kendall McGregor, Sabine Sorensen, and Kelly Harris each took one shot.
The Lady Chargers return to action and look to bounce back next Saturday, September 28th when they host the Lions of Georgian Court University at 12:00 PM on O'Brien Field.
