
WOMEN'S TENNIS UPENDS WARRIORS IN NON-CONFERENCE ACTION
Monsey, N.Y. (9/22/24) The Dominican University New York women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 non-conference win against the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University in a match played this afternoon at Manny Welder Park.
Dominican improves to 1-3 overall, while the Warriors fall to 0-1.
The Lady Chargers picked up the doubles point as Angelina Amelkina and Lia Sarjveladze won their match 6-0 and Preeti Koli and Ava O'Brien followed with a 6-1 win for the early 1-0 lead.
Dominican won four of the six singles matches, with the other two matches ending in retirment due to injuries.
