
LADY CHARGERS SUFFER NON-CONFERENCE LOSS TO FIREBIRDS
Sparkill, N.Y. (10/6/24) The Dominican University New York women's tennis team suffered a non-conference loss to the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia this afternoon on the Riley Family Tennis Courts on the campus of St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, N.Y.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 2-6 overall while UDC improves to 5-0 overall.
The Lady Chargers fell in the doubles to open the match. Lia Sarjveladze won the first set in her match with Desire Parn but fell in the second set to force a tiebreaker. Parn completed the victory with a 10-8 triumph in the tiebreaker.
