
WOMEN'S TENNIS DEFEATED BY RAMS
Monsey, N.Y. (10/15/24) The Dominican University New York women's tennis team fell in conference action to the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University this afternoon at Manny Welder Park in Monsey, N.Y.
The Lady Chargers fall to 2-10 overall and 0-9 in conference play. The Rams improve to 6-6 overall and 4-6 in the CACC after the win.
The Lady Chargers lost the doubles point to open the match. The pairing of Lia Sarjveladze and Angelina Amelkina went into a tiebreaker in first doubles. The pair fell in the tiebreaker 7-5 and the match up 7-6.
Amelkina played into a third set in first singles after forcing the decisive set with a 6-3 win in the second set. Amelkina fell in the third set by a score of 6-2.
