LADY CHARGERS WIN CACC SPORTMANSHIP AWARD FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (10/17/24) Chestnut Hill College fifth-year senior Alison Isaac has been named the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year. Isaac, who was also voted onto the All-CACC First Team, headlines the CACC all-conference teams and major award winners announced today by Commissioner Dan Mara. The voting for the awards was conducted by the league's six head coaches in the sport.
Thomas Jefferson University freshman Alycia Veroux was voted the CACC Rookie of the Year. Veroux also earned a spot on the All-CACC First Team. Goldey-Beacom College's Bernard Flowers was selected as the CACC Coach of the Year and Dominican University New York earned the CACC Team Sportsmanship award for demonstrating class and character throughout the regular season.
Isaac owns personal won-lost records this season of 14-2 at No. 1 singles and 14-2 at No. 1 doubles. The Loomis, Calif., native reached the quarterfinals of the ITA East Region Championship. Isaac is undefeated in 2024 conference play (8-0 singles, 9-0 doubles). She is the first CHC women's tennis player to be named CACC Player of the Year.
Veroux, from Ehlange-Sur-Mess, Luxembourg, owns an 11-2 singles record this season, including 8-2 at the No. 1 spot. She is 9-4 at No. 1 doubles.
Flowers, selected by the league's directors of athletics communications, has guided Goldey-Beacom to an 8-3 record this fall, including 7-3 in conference play. The Lightning are the No. 2 seed for this weekend's conference championship tournament in Wilmington, Del.
Dominican, led by head coach Tim O'Brien, wins the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award for the third consecutive year. The complete list of 2024 All-CACC Women's Tennis Teams is below.
