
WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD CONCLUDE SEASON AT CACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Lakewood, N.J. (5/5/24) The Dominican University New York women's track and field team finished in eighth place at the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Track and Field Championships held yesterday and today at GCU Track & Field Complex and hosted by Georgian Court University.
Freshman Kiana Thomas (Riviera Beach, Fla.) took fourth place in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:11.69.
Thrower Miranda Tucker (Nassau, Bahamas) also had a fourth place finish in the javelin with a throw of 34.59m (113' 6") and took sixth in the shot put with a throw of 11.16m (36' 7.5").
Jayda Jones (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), Julia Dunne (Babylon, N.Y.), Thomas and Tiara Cargill (Queens, N.Y.) finished in fifth place in the 4x100m relay with a time of 51.59.
In the 3000m steeplechase, junior Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.) finished in seventh place with a time of 14:31.38.
The 4x400m relay team of Thomas, Anjalice Arias (Middletown, N.Y.), Dunne and Murphy took eighth place with a time of 4:21.37.
