
PRINCE HAS HIGH FINISH AT WEST POINT TUNE UP
West Point, N.Y. (2/22/25) Freshman Kaelyn Prince had the high finish of third place in the 800m run today as members of the Dominican University New York women's track and field team competed at the West Point Tune Up Meet.
Prince ran the event in a time of 2:28.56 for the third place finish and followed with a fourth place finish in the mile run with a time of 5:20.51.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
- Prince took third place in the 800m run with a time of 2:28.56, while Sarai Cruz took ninth place with a time of 2:55.02.
- In the mile run, Prince took fourth place with a time of 5:20.51. Cruz finished in 15th place with a time of 6:39.98, while Rachel Reagan took 16th place with a time of 7:39.20.
- Sophomore Reagan also competed in the 3000m run where she finished in ninth place with 15:47.73.
- Kiana Thomas took ninth place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:08.14 and Anna Murphy ran a time of 1:08.45 to take 10th place. Anjalice Arias finished in 12th place with a time of 1:09.55.
- Thomas also competed in the 60m hurdles prelims where she finished in 10th place with a time of 10.36.
- Freshman Lynn Jacob took part in the 60m dash where she took 12th place with a time of 8.52. Tiara Cargill finished 18th place with a time 8.67 and Genesis Jimenez took 22nd place with a time of 8.98.
- The long jump saw Jimenez take 13th place with a jump of 4.19m (13' 9").
- Cargill finished in 13th place in the 200m dash with a time of 28.95, while Jacob took 19th place with a time of 29.79. Jimenez ran a time of 30.41 to finish in 22nd place and Arias took 23rd place with a time of 30.43.
- Julissa Velasquez took 16th place in the shot put event with a throw of 9.29m (30' 5.75") and Tori Benson finished in 17th place with a throw of 8.99m (29' 6").
