PRINCE HAS HIGH FINISH AT FASTRACK LAST CHANCE MEET

Staten Island, N.Y. (2/28/25)  Members of the Dominican University New York women's track and field squad competed today at the Fastrack Last Chance Meet held at the OCean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Kaelyn Prince had the high finish of the day as she finished in ninth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:19.31.

WOMEN'S RESULTS

  • Freshman Kaelyn Prince took ninth place in the 800m run with a time of 2:19.31.  Sarai Cruz finished in 22nd place with a time of 2:52.01.
  • Prince took 10th place in the mile run with a time of 5:24.11.
  • Jumper Genesis Jimenez finished in 15th place in the long jump event with a jump of 4.54m (14' 10.75").
  • The 60m preliminaries saw Lynn Jacob take 18th place with a time of 8.48.  Tiara Cargill finished in 19th place with a time of 8.65, while Jimenez took 21st place with a time of 8.65m
  • Cargill took 21st place in the 200m dash with a time of 27.69, while Jacob finished in 22nd place with a time of 28.08.

The Lady Chargers return to action on Saturday, March 22nd when they travel to the Purple & Gold Invite, hosted by Westchester University.
