WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL END LOSING STREAK WITH VICTORY OVER CONCORDIA COLLEGE
Bronxville, N.Y. (10/7/15) The Dominican College women's volleyball team snapped a losing streak by defeating Concordia College, 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-16), this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match played at the Meyer Athletic Center.

With the win, Dominican improves to 3-16 overall and 3-4 in conference play.
The Clippers led 14-10 in the opening set when the Lady Chargers went on an 8-1 tear to pull ahead 18-15. DC would lead by as many as five points en route to a set ending kill from freshman Kelly Murphy (Evergeen, Colo.) for the 25-21 win.
DC held the slight 19-17 advantage in set two, but used a 6-1 run to take a 25-18 set win and hold a 2-0 math lead.
The Lady Chargers opened the final set with a 9-5 advantage and never looked back en route to the 25-16 win and 3-0 match victory. Dominican posted a match high .474 attack percentage in the third set, accumulating 10 kills and one error.
Junior Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) led Dominican with a night best 13 kills.
Murphy finished with 11 kills and a .400 attack percentage, while setter Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) had a match best 32 assists.
Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had a team high 11 defensive digs, while Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) added seven digs.
Dominican is slated to return to action on Saturday afternoon as they host Concordia College. Match time is set for 12pm on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
