
GOLDEN FALCONS RALLY TO UPEND WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Rutherford, N.J. (11/13/24) The Felician University women's volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to defeat the Dominican University New York Lady Chargers, 3-2, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division match played in Joal & Joseph Job Gymnasium.
The Lady Chargers won the first set, 25-20, while the Golden Falcons took the second 25-22. DUNY won a thrilling 32-30 third set, but Felician took set four 25-20 and ended the match with a 15-12 fifth set win and 3-2 match victory.
Following the match, Dominican now stands at 10-11 overall and 7-7 in conference play.
In the third set with the score tied at 30-all, Elizabeth Perez recorded a kill and then served for set point where teammates Kaitlyn Carr and Aaliyah Ellis recorded the block assists for the 32-30 win.
Junior outside hitter Perez led three player in double figures with 18 kills and nine digs.
Carr tallied 16 kills and seven digs, while Ellis added 11 kills and four block assists.
Libero Linda Armao Peng tallied 26 digs and setter Kaeden Sanstead recorded 39 assists and 12 digs in the loss.
The Lady Chargers are back in action tomorrow evening when they travel to Thomas Jefferson University in a CACC contest.
