
#3N LADY CHARGERS FALL TO #1N POST UNIVERSITY IN CACC SEMIFINALS
Lakewood, N.J. (11/23/24) The #3 seed in the CACC north division Dominican University New York Lady Chargers took on the #1 seed in the CACC north division Post University Eagles in the 2024 CACC Women's Volleyball Championship Semifinals hosted by Georgian Court University.
Both teams split the first two sets but the Eagles won two straight sets to secure the 3-1 victory and earn a trip to the CACC Finals against host school Georgian Court University.
Dominican finishes the 2024 season with an overall record of 12-13 and last Tuesday earned their first CACC Tournament win and trip to the CACC Semifinals for the first time since 2012.
Kaitlyn Carr recorded a shared team-high 12.5 points on 11 kills, one service ace, and one block assist. Elizabeth Perez also finished with 12.5 points scored on eight kills and a team-high four service aces. Perez also added 10 digs and one block assist.
Lady Charger all-time program leader in block assists Aaliyah Ellis finished with three more block assists. Ellis also recorded eight killed and one solo block.
Setter Kaeden Sanstead recorded 31 assists and picked up 10 digs. Linda Armao Peng recorded a team-high 23 digs. Savannah Tody finished with 6.5 points and five kills while Lindley McCutcheon added 4.5 points, four kills, and six digs. Abigail Thompson contributed six digs.
