
MURPHY RECEIVES 2022 CACC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/8/22) Dominican University New York women's cross country runner, Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.), has been named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Nine CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

(12/8/22) Dominican University New York women's cross country runner, Anna Murphy (Holbrook, N.Y.), has been named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team as was announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Nine CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.
This is Murphy's first All-Academic honors.
Thomas Jefferson University led the way with five honorees on the team, while Holy Family University posted four harriers on the squad.
NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
♦ Four student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages, including a trio from HFU (Kaitlyn Durning, Amber Fisgaer & Ashley Fisgaer) and Caldwell University's Ana Gonzalez Martin.
♦ Seven student-athletes notched GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Wilmington's Alexa Crowell was named to the team for the fourth time in her career.
♦ Four student-athletes were named to the CACC Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team for the third time in their respective careers (Chestnut Hill College's Lily Short, Felician University's Ashley Linares, HFU's Shania LeMaitre and Jefferson's Kyleigh Percy).
♦ Six were named to the unit for the second time in their respective careers.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.
