As a team, they went 33-61 (54.1%) from the floor, shot 58.8% (10-17) from the three point arc and were 9-10 (90.0%) from the charity stripe to finish with three players in double figures.
The offense wasted no time as they recorded 28 first quarter points to charge ahead, 28-7. Shooter Shannon McGill* (Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded six treys in the quarter to tally 18 points.
DC added 24 more points in the second quarter to take a 52-27 lead at the break. In the first half the Lady Chargers shot 60.6% (20-33) on the floor, 81.8% (9-11) from the three point arc and 100% from the foul line.
McGill led the way with 20 first half points, while senior Déja Gabbidon (Teaneck, N.J.) netted 15 points.
Dominican would score 18 points in the third frame to extend their lead to 70 to 39, but the Knights would outscore the Lady Chargers, 21-15 in the final 10 minutes for the final 85-60 victory.
Gabbidon led all scorers with 22 points and recorded four steals and six rebounds.
McGill finished with 20 points, while Rebecca Rabeiro (Midland Park, N.J.) added 11 points, four assists and four rebounds.
Guard Jacqueline Rywalt* (Pleasant Valley, N.Y.) had a team high five assists, six points and five rebounds in the win.
Following the victory, Dominican improves to 8-6 on the season.
The Lady Chargers are back in action on Wednesday evening when they host Holy Family University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) contest.
