Pomona, N.Y. (4/30/15) Pace University defeated the Dominican College baseball team, 6-0, this afternoon in a non-conference game played at Provident Bank Park.
The Chargers were held scoreless on three hits behind a strong showing by six pitchers for Pace University. Dominican threatened in the bottom of the fifth, but ended the inning with the bases loaded.
The Setters held a 2-0 advantage heading into the eighth, where they added four runs to increase their lead to 6-0.
Sophomore pitcher Andrew Morano (Clintondale, N.Y.) suffered the loss, (1-4) in five innings of work allowing six hits and striking out five.
With the defeat, the Chargers fall to 19-21 overall on the season.
Dominican College will host Concordia College in the CACC Tournament at 3 PM on Saturday at Provident Bank Park.
