CHARGERS WIN ON THE ROAD AT HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY
Philadelphia, Pa. (1/10/17) The Dominican College men's basketball team earned a hard fought road victory over Holy Family University, 68-60, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Campus Center Gym.

Dominican trailed 22-19 with under five minutes to play in the first half when sophomore Sayon Charles (Staten Island, N.Y.) scored seven of the team's final nine points in the first half to pull infront, 28-26. Charles finished the first half with 15 points and five steals.
Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) grabbed 12 first half rebounds and tallied eight points in the first half.
The Chargers trailed 46-42 wtih 10:39 left in regulation when sophomore Travis Cook (Middletown, N.Y.) and Charles score five straight points to give the team a one point advantage.
A Cook trey with a little over nine minutes to go began another 5-0 spurt which put DC in the lead for good as they went on to the win.
Charles recorded career highs in both points and steals with 32 and nine, while tallying seven rebounds and three blocks.
Irvin finished with a night best 18 boards, career high seven assists, three steals and 11 points, while Cook went 4-6 from the three point arc to accumulate 12 points.
Senior Kristopher Hargraves (Teaneck, N.J.) added six assists.
With the win, Dominican improves to 10-7 overall and 5-3 in the conference play.
DC returns home this coming Saturday as they host Goldey-Beacom College.
