The Chargers opened up the game with the first seven points, before succombing to a 26-6 tear by the Lightning to turn the tables and put them ahead, 26-13, with nine and half left in the half.
GBC would never relinquish the lead en route to the victory.
Freshman guard Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) led the Chargers with 15 points and three steals, while adding five rebounds.
Sayon Charles (Staten Island, N.Y.) tallied 13 points and a team best seven caroms, while Kristopher Hargraves (Teaneck, N.J.) scored nine points.
Ray Pender (Bronx, N.Y.) netted seven points off the bench.
As a team, DC shot 40% (28-70) from the floor and 60% (12-20) from the charity stripe. They struggles behind the three-point arc, going just 3-13 (23.1%).
With the loss, Dominican drops to 10-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play.
Dominican will host Felician University in a CACC North Divsion contest on Monday evening.
