MEN'S BASKETBALL COMPLETES SERIES SWEEP WITH WIN OVER CONCORDIA COLLEGE
Bronxville, N.Y. (1/24/17) The Dominican College men's basketball team completed the series sweep over Concordia College this evening as they defeated the Clippers, 96-87, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at the Meyer Athletic Center.

With the win, the Chargers improve to 12-8 overall and 7-4 in CACC play.
Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) led three Chargers who netted over 20 points in the victory with 24 points (9-18 from the floor) and nine rebounds.
Freshman guard Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) scored 22 points and a grabbed a night best 12 rebounds in recording his second double-double of the season.
Travis Cook (Middletown, N.Y.) scored 21 points.
Dominican trailed 17-8 with just under 13 minutes left in the first stanza when the offense charged back into the game with a 20-5 tear to claim a 28-22 lead with 5:53 left in the half. DC closed out the half on an 8-2 run, capped off by a three pointer from Cook to go into the intermission with a 43-38 lead.
DC would lead by as many as 15 points in the second half (73-38) en route to the win.
The Chargers will travel to Philadelphia University this Saturday.
