DOMINICAN COMPLETES SWEEP OF NYACK COLLEGE

(2/18/17) The Dominican College men's basketball team defeated the Nyack College Warriors for the second time in six days this afternoon as they won 83-73 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division battle played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center. Today was also senior day for the Chargers.

Today was also senior day for the Chargers.
Prior to the start of the team, the Chargers honored senior #33 Kristopher Hargraves (Teaneck, N.J.).
Dominican opened the contest with the first 12 points and would by as many as 20 points (46-26) en route to a 47-28 lead at the break.
The Chargers would maintain a double-digit lead throughout the remaining 20 minutes for the 83-73 win.
Forward Gerrel Irvin (Bay Shore, N.Y.) netted a team best 19 points (8-10 from the floor) to lead four players in double figures and grabbed a game best nine rebounds to go with five assists.
Freshman Daraja Rodwell (Baldwin, N.Y.) tallied 17 points (6-11 from the floor and 4-8 from the three point arc), while Hargraves scored 12 points, three steals and three assists.
Guard Daniel Grant (Middletown, N.Y.) finished with 11 points and five rebounds.
With the win, Dominican improves to 17-10 overall and 12-6 in CACC play.
DC will conclude the regular season on Tuesday evening as they travel to Bloomfield College.
