Easton, Mass. (9/12/15) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost to Gannon University and Stonehill College on the final day of the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational. The Lady Chargers lost both matches by the score of 3-0 to fall to 0-8 on the season.

Easton, Mass. (9/12/15) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost to Gannon University and Stonehill College on the final day of the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational. The Lady Chargers lost both matches by the score of 3-0 to fall to 0-8 on the season.

Match One: In the 3-0 loss to Gannon University (11-25, 20-25, 19-25) junior Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) led the team with seven kills and added nine defensive digs.

Setter Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) posted match highs of 18 assists and 18 digs.

Outside hitter Kelly Murphy (Evergreen, Colo.) had six kills and seven digs.

Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) contributed 12 digs in the loss.

Match Two: In the final match of the tournament, the host defeated the Lady Chargers 3-0 (11-25, 13-25, 12-25).

Dexter led the Lady Chargers with five kills and had 10 digs.

Murphy and Ashle Joyner (Edgewood, Md.) each had four kills, while Murphy added four digs.

Hallstein finished with a team high 16 assists and 10 digs, while Kim had a night best 18 digs.

Dominican returns home for a non-conference match on Tuesday evening against Assumption College. Game time is set for 7pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
