With the loss, Dominican falls to 7-11 on the season.
The Chargers scored the first run of the game in the top of first when designated hitter Carlos Lopez (Miami, Fla.) doubled home Jayson Gray (New Rochelle, N.Y.), who had led off the inning with a bunt single.
The Golden Lions scored two runs in the bottom of the first and added a run in the second to pull in front 3-1. Dominican tied the game with two runs in the fourth as Gray produced a two out two-run double down the left field line. Dowling regained the lead in the bottom frame with two more runs for the 5-3 advantage.
Dominican scored a run in the fifth on a solo home run off the bat of Arbely Soto (Bronx, N.Y.) and added a run in the seventh on the RBI triple by Lopez to cut the deficit to, 8-5.
The Chargers added two more runs in their final at-bat on a sacrifice fly ball to right field by Soto and the run-scoring single up-the-middle from Lopez to make the score 10-7.
Lopez finished the game with three hits and three RBIs, while Gray, Soto and Jonel Ozuna (New York, N.Y.) each had two hits in the loss, with Gray adding two RBIs and Soto had two runs scored.
John-Michael Broderick (Spring Lake Heights, N.J.) suffered the loss (0-3) in 3 and 1/3 innings of work, allowing five runs (four earned) on six hits.
The Chargers return to action on Monday afternoon as they are scheduled to take on Nyack College.
