Caldwell University and Post University are tied for first in the North with 89 points apiece, while the latter boasts seven first-place votes, and the former with six nods for the top spot. Georgian Court University and Holy Family University each feature 81 points for No. 1 in the South, with the Lions owning five first-place votes and the Tigers sporting four of their own. The voting for the preseason poll was conducted by the league's 14 head coaches in the sport.

Greensboro, N.C. (6/1/19) The 2019 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-America teams have been released by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings Sporting Goods. Eight of the student-athletes selected for All-America teams are playing in the NCAA Div. II College World Series this week in Cary, North Carolina.

(5/20/19) In one of the four major championships contested annually in professional golf, former Dominican College golfing great Brian Mackey acquitted himself quite well in his two rounds of competition in the 2019 PGA Championship, which was contested this weekend at the famed Bethpage Black Golf Course on Long Island in Bethpage, N.Y. Mackey failed to make the cut following the opening two rounds of the tournament, but the current head golf professional at Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y., posted a seven-over-par, 147, which enabled him to post better scores than several major champions in the field.
